Once in Cyprus
You will be welcomed at the airport by one of our representatives and advised when your personal wedding co-ordinator will be visiting you to discuss all the details of your wedding, including special requirements and you will be advised what documentation will be required to complete. Arrangements will also be made to visit the Town Hall or church accordingly. You will also be given a 24hr contact number of your personal wedding co-ordinator.

 

Registry Office Weddings

There are two kinds or registry office weddings. Marriage by Notice and Marriage by Special Licence. The main difference is that Marriage by Notice requires 15 days of proceedings before the actual ceremony can take place and minimum stay of 20 days in Cyprus.

Marriage by Special Licence can be performed within 3-4 days. In both cases the maximum validity of the licence is 3 months. However, Marriage by Notice costs less than Marriage by Special Licence. For both licences the following documentation is needed:

• Passport
• Birth Certificate
• Decree of Absolute if divorcee
• Certificate of Death if widow/er
• Affidavit

The ceremony will take place in the Town Hall of your chosen resort city under licence, all these will be arranged for you. The Marriage Officer or the Mayor of the resort conducts the ceremony in English.



Church Weddings

Couples wishing to marry in a Church must first apply to the Marriage Officer in any Municipality in the Republic of Cyprus. When applying, the couple must provide an affidavit that they are free to marry, birth certificates, and passports. Your wedding co-ordinator will assist you with all formalities.

It should be pointed out that any person who willfully makes a false statement or declaration, required by law is liable to imprisonment.

It is important to note that in order for a Catholic marriage to be valid, it is required that a registry office ceremony must take place prior to the religious service.

You should advise the priest of your local Parish of your intention to conduct your Catholic service in Cyprus, who in turn will furnish you with the required documents to bring with you and hand over to the priest who will be performing the religious service.

ALL relevant documentation for all of the above must be obtained prior to departure.

Anglican Chaplains, who are registered ministers for performing marriages, will conduct the ceremony by prior appointment. Divorcees cannot be married in the Limassol Anglican church.

Persons under eighteen years of age.

If either party to the intended marriage is under eighteen years of age, the written consent of the father, or if he is dead or incapable of consenting, of the mother or, if both are dead or incapable of consenting, of the lawful guardian of such party, must be produced to the Marriage Officer on their application.

Wedding flowers
Enhance your ceremony with beautiful floral designs. Please be aware that certain flowers may not be in season.

Wedding video
You will never regret selecting a professional to capture the sounds, colors and movements of a once in a lifetime experience.

If you have asked a member of your family to video your wedding please ensure that you have lots of spare batteries as the heat generally drains electrical items. Please also remember that the person on the end of the camera will not be in your video so make sure someone takes over even for a short while.

Wedding photographs
To ensure you have memories to last a lifetime we have selected the most professional photographers in Cyprus.

The photographer will cover your last celibant moments, the ceremony and the celebrations to follow. If you so decide you can have more formal, staged photographs with the background of your choice.

The day after your wedding your proofs will be delivered to the hotel to choose which ones you want enlarged and placed in your album. Your wedding album will be ready for you to take back home the morning of your departure.

Wedding limousines
Wedding limousines are either 4 or 6 seats. The limousine will pick you up and stay with you for as long as needed.

If you have lots of guests then a minibus or a coach is a good idea. Prices vary depending on the number of seats of the bus and the location of your accommodation.

Your wedding day
You leave the hotel approximately 25 minutes before your ceremony is due to start. The exact time will be given to you by your wedding co-ordinator. Either the wedding car driver or a member of the TOP KINISIS wedding team will deliver your flowers to the hotel and advise you when it is time to leave. If you are going separately then the groom will leave just five minutes before the bride. If you have arranged for photographs and video the cameramen will meet you there.

After the wedding you can move on to the place chosen for more photos or back to the hotel or the venue chosen for your reception.

Your reception
This is the one thing you can arrange during your stay, with our assistance of course.

Your wedding reception can be as sophisticated or as casual as you like. In deciding what you want there are one or two points you may want to take into consideration.

Most hotels and apartments offer a reception facility. The price will depend on what you require to eat and how you want the table set out.

There are a number of restaurants and bars in the resort cities that will be more than happy to arrange something for your special day.

Have your wedding party on a boat! What a unique way to celebrate! Have the whole boat to yourselves and invite up to 100 guests to celebrate your special occasion on board. To the accompaniment of the latest sounds the boat will cruise the bay whilst the party carries on - a great chance to experience partying under the stars!!! Dancing on the fore deck is a must while the Bar will quench the thirsty. Self-catering or fully catered options are available as are any other special requests.

Renewal of Wedding Vows
If you have thought of renewing your wedding vows in Church, then what better place to do it than Cyprus. You will need to bring a wedding certificate with you. The cost will be the same as for a church wedding, no wedding license or affidavits are required.
Your wedding arrangements

Some of your wedding arrangements can be organised prior to your arrival and confirmed during your first meeting with your co-ordinator.

Once in Cyprus, all the details will be discussed in person with your co-ordinator and you will have the opportunity to request something extra such as a limousine service, photographer, video, etc.

Please advise us prior to the initial visit if you will have guests with special needs, such as wheelchairs as some venues may not be easily accessible.
